Water can be used as usual in the Northern Espoo Area
The health protection authority has lifted the boil water advisory in the Northern Espoo area on 30 April 2026 at 7:30 AM. Water samples are clean, and the water can now be used normally again.
The lifting of the boil water advisory applies to the following areas: Juvanmalmi, Kalajärvi, Lahnus, Luukki, Korpilampi, Niittymäki, Odilampi, Perusmäki, Pirttimäki and Punametsä.
The boil water advisory was issued due to a disruption in water distribution caused when an excavator bucket damaged a water main at an HSY contractor’s worksite in Juvanmalmi. Due to the resulting drop in water pressure, the boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure.
If the interruption in the supply of household water lasts for more than 12 hours, customers will be compensated in accordance with the Water Services Act and HSY’s general terms and conditions for water services. Compensation for disruptions exceeding 12 hours and comparable quality defects will be applied later as a credit on the property’s water bill. Customers do not need to submit a separate compensation claim to HSY.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the boil water advisory.
