Administration and decision-making
At HSY, the highest decision-making power is exercised by the General Meeting. It is responsible for the municipal federation’s operations and finances. The General Meeting elects the members of the Board of Directors for one municipal election term.
Finances
We finance our operations with customer fees, which we use to provide water supply and waste management services as well as information about the region’s air quality to the residents and companies in the Helsinki metropolitan area. Procurement and investments play a key role in our finances.
