Application for an exemption from the waste management regulations

The owner of the property or waste may, for a justified reason, apply for an exemption from compliance with the waste management regulations. An exemption is applied for in the following situations:

  • Extension of the emptying interval for mixed waste containers to two times per year
  • Temporary suspension of the property’s waste collection for more than one year or at least for the third time in a row

Functional waste collection point on property

Waste containers must be placed on a flat and wear-resistant surface, and it must be possible to empty them in a smooth and safe manner.

In large housing companies, the waste point is visible in the everyday life of residents, and its functionality and cleanliness are appreciated.

Waste containers and other waste collection equipment

A prerequisite for functional waste management is that the property has a sufficient number of waste containers or bins suitable for the collection system used in the area, as well as for mechanical emptying. The starting point is the waste management regulations and the property’s individual needs in waste collection.

Properties adjacent to each other can make a contract with us to use a jointly owned waste container. This contract applies to all types of waste we collect from the property.

How to influence your waste charge amount

The waste charges for your property consist of the emptying price of waste containers and container rental. We recommend renting a waste container from us, as then you need not worry about its condition and functionality. If you wish, you can also acquire your own waste container.

The emptying price of waste containers is based on a waste container emptying rhythm suitable for the property, which varies depending on the amount of waste and the number of waste containers.

The price of a deep collection container is based on weighing, so you pay for the waste in accordance with the actual amount.

The waste management price list contains more detailed information on property waste charges, the size of waste containers, and emptying rhythms.

When the residents of your property sort waste items into the correct containers, we can deliver them for recycling. This allows you to also influence your property’s waste charge amount, as recycled waste is cheaper for properties.
