Jorvas and Ämmässuo Sortti Stations open on four Saturdays in April–May
HSY will keep the Jorvas and Ämmässuo Sortti Stations open on four Saturdays in April and May. The extended opening hours make spring cleaning easier and visits to Sortti Stations smoother during the busiest period. In addition, the Kivikko, Konala and Ruskeasanta Sortti Stations are open at weekends throughout the year: Kivikko on Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm, and Konala and Ruskeasanta on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm.
Spring is an especially busy time at Sortti Stations, as residents clean their yards, homes and storage spaces after winter. HSY is responding to demand and will keep the Jorvas and Ämmässuo Sortti Stations open on four spring Saturdays on 25 April and 2, 9 and 16 May from 11 am to 6 pm.
On weekdays, all Sortti Stations are open from 7 am to 9 pm. Throughout the year, the Kivikko Sortti Station is open on Saturdays from 11 am to 6 pm, and the Konala and Ruskeasanta Sortti Stations on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am to 6 pm. “Customer numbers at the Sortti Stations increase by a few per cent every year, and in spring this is particularly evident. Saturday opening at Jorvas and Ämmässuo evens out peak times and offers customers more flexibility when visiting,” says HSY’s Operations Manager Eetu Keinänen.
The eSortti online service speeds up visits at Sortti Stations
Visits to Sortti Stations can be made smoother by declaring and paying for waste in advance via the eSortti service. In that case, customers can drive to the Sortti Station via a lane intended for self-service without queueing at the service desk. In the online service, customers can also simply estimate the cost of bringing their waste to a Sortti Station.
Self-service equipment is also available at Sortti Stations and can be used with a Sortti card. The Sortti card is available at the Sortti Stations’ service desk and requires a customer agreement. For business customers, entering into an agreement is handled via the eSortti service. Private customers can, in addition to eSortti, enter into an agreement at a Sortti Station by presenting an identity document.
