Air quality now
On our website, you can monitor the air quality in the Helsinki metropolitan area and Uusimaa in real time. Our map service shows the air quality where you are right now or where you are going. You can also check how the air quality changes over the next few hours. The air quality in Finland is good by international comparisons, but air pollutants can reduce the air quality here as well from time to time. In the Helsinki metropolitan area, the air quality is reduced by street dust, traffic exhaust gases, air pollutants transported from elsewhere, dust from construction sites, and wood burning in detached house areas.
