Mulch fabrics

Mulch fabric is usually a woven or non‑woven, fabric‑like material that allows water and air to pass through but blocks light from reaching the soil, preventing weeds from growing.

The most common mulch fabrics are made of polypropylene (PP), that is, plastic, although biodegradable alternatives are also available on the market (e.g. PLA‑based).
