Renovation of the Konala Sortti Station to start in August

HSY will be renovating the Konala Sortti Station in the autumn, starting on 5 August. The Sortti Station will be closed during the renovation, but a separate area for accepting apples, brushwood and garden waste will be opened at the station on 7 August.
The renovation of the Konala Sortti Station will start on 5 August and take approximately two months. The goal is to open the renovated Sortti Station in mid-October.
The Sortti Station and its normal access route will be closed for the duration of the renovation. However, on 7 August, HSY will open a separate area in the lower yard of the station for accepting seasonal waste in the autumn: apples, brushwood and garden waste. The area is accessed via Paperitie. The Sortti Station will also have a map and signposts directing people to the area.
- It’s a shame that we have to keep the Konala Sortti Station closed during the renovation. On the other hand, we now have a good opportunity to test a pop-up Sortti concept for the delivery of garden waste and brushwood, says Eetu Keinänen, Operational Manager at HSY.
Other Sortti Stations will be serving customers as normal during the renovation in Konala. The locations closest to the Konala Sortti Station are the Ruskeasanta and Kivikko Sortti Stations as well as the Koivukylä Sortti Mini Station, of which Ruskeasanta and Koivukylä also serve customer on weekends. The opening hours of all Sortti Stations are available on the HSY website.
