Waste Information

Liquid food products can be poured down the drain as long as they are free of "lumps", for example beverages, broth, gruel, fruit soups, puréed soups and milk products.

Small amounts of liquid food products, such as sauce and fruit soup, can be sorted into biowaste when absorbed into paper towels. Do not pour large amounts of liquid into the biowaste container because of possible leakages. The liquid can be composted in a personal compost.

Liquid food and its packaging must not be put in the biowaste bin. Instead, the package with its contents should go into the mixed waste bin. Please close the package carefully and place it in a plastic bag.

Cooking oil should not be poured down the drain but rather sorted into mixed waste in a tightly packed plastic bottle. See entry for "cooking oil".
