Finnish Car Recycling Ltd. (Suomen Autokierrätys Oy) is responsible for recycling the traction batteries of electric and hybrid cars, which are not collected at HSY’s hazardous waste collection points.
Traction batteries are processed and recycled by four operators, whose contact information is available on the website of Finnish Car Recycling Ltd. You can also hand over your electric moped traction batteries and similar to the same operators.
Hybrid cars also have traditional lead-acid batteries (starter battery), which are received at HSY’s hazardous waste collection points, for example.
