We accept the following waste types at the Sortti Mini Station
- metal free of charge
- plastic (such as plastic items)
- coated wood (such as cupboards)
- combustible mixed waste (such as sofas)
- non-combustible waste (such as mirrors)
The amount of waste you can drop off at the Sortti Mini Station is limited because the station has smaller facilities than regular Sortti Stations. Take big loads (over 5 m3) and other types of waste to our regular Sortti Stations.
Our Waste guide provides sorting instructions for different types of waste. If you are building or renovating, it’s a good idea to check the sorting guidelines for construction waste in advance on our Construction Waste page. That way, you’ll know how to pack your waste properly and where each type belongs.

Remember these things when visiting the Sortti Mini Station
- Reserve enough time for your visit to the Sortti Mini Station and wear clothes suitable for unloading your waste yourself.
- Pay special attention to safety at the Sortti Mini Station. Keep pets in the car, follow the speed limit (10 km/h), and watch out for other customers. Please note that for children, the safest place at the Sortti Mini Station is also inside the car.
- Do not climb onto containers or compactors.
- Wear protective clothing. Work gloves protect your hands from sharp waste, and closed shoes are a safer choice than sandals, as there may be nails or other sharp objects on the ground. Even though the area is cleaned regularly, caution is still important. Protective eyewear is also recommended when handling waste.
- Protect your hearing, as throwing waste and working machinery may cause loud noise. Free earplugs are available at the Sortti Mini Station service point.
- Please note that even empty aerosol cans are classified as hazardous waste at the Sortti Stations. Asbestos is only accepted at the Ämmässuo Sortti Station. Asbestos may be found in old construction materials, such as fibre cement boards and roof coverings.
- Follow the sorting instructions and ask the staff for help if needed. Do not take any waste or items from the Kierrätyskeskus's donation point.
