The network pressure of supply water will be reduced permanently in the Suurpelto area of Henttaa, Espoo. We will carry out the planned change in connection with the deployment of the new pressure reduction station in the week starting 13 December.

The change will affect the entire Suurpelto area bounded in the east by Kehä II. In the west, the changes will be restricted to the following streets: Vähän-Henttaan tie, Lillhemtinkuja, Tuurinmäki, Tuurinmäentie 12-24, and Väli-Henttaan tie 29.

We will reduce the area’s water pressure by 1-2 bars, and we will be able to regulate it more evenly than now. By reducing the water pressure in the area, we will be able to better control the amount of leaking water. The reduction of water pressure will have no effect on water distribution or on the quality of supply water.

The network pressure in Suurpelto currently varies between 5-6 bars, while the ideal pressure level for a water supply network is 3-5 bars. After the change, the water pressure will sit at around 4 bars. Water consumption on properties may decrease, as lower network pressure reduces excessive water consumption.

If the change in network pressure results in an excessively low working pressure on your property, contact HSY:n Customer Service.
