We monitor air quality in 2017 by Aleksis Kiven katu, Kerava. Before this, air quality was monitored at the same place in 2010.

In Kerava we measure, among others, the concentrations of nitrogen dioxide and particles in the air. The results describe the air quality of an area with busy traffic. Air quality is better further away from traffic.

The results are presented here through an air quality index that correlates the pollutants to their health effects. The index varies from good to very poor. When the air quality is poor (red colour), people sensitive to air pollutants may show some symptoms.

The graph shows the air quality indexes from the last 12 hours.
