Climateinfo was founded in autumn 2010 on the joint initiative of the cities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. The aim is to familiarise residents and SMEs with the climate strategy of the cities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area and provide support and guidance with practical measures.
Energy-efficiency and renewable energy, food, transportation and consumption are our four main themes.
Climateinfo is a part of HSY and our operations are funded by the cities of Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa and Kauniainen, as well as Helsinki Region Transport HSL and Helen.
Trials and co-operation
We get involved in everyday climate actions by giving residents alternative ways to do everyday things. We work where consumption decisions are made. Through practical trials and campaigns, we promote solutions that can change people’s behaviour to decrease the impact on the climate. We cooperate with many kinds of operators to engage as many residents, housing companies, and other companies as possible in the climate effort.
EcoCompass and Energiasuunta (Energy Direction)
Our services also include EcoCompass, which is a lighter environmental system for SMEs and events, as well as light energy surveys with Energiasuunta.
