Monitoring Results

Air is measured for pollutant concentrations of gaseous particulates in different sizes and for weather factors. You can monitor the current air quality on an hourly basis via the links on the left. The monitoring results are published in the annual reports on air quality in June.

Pollutants are referred to in pictures with abbreviations such as PM2.5 = fine particles or O3 =ozone, which are the most crucial impurities in the city air from the point of view of health.

HSY also monitors the air quality in Uusimaa and in the area of the Ämmässuo Waste Treatment Centre (in Finnish). You can check the current air quality of the whole of Finland on the Air Quality portal.
