Monitoring of the Helsinki region MAL agreement
The MAL agreement is an agreement between the 14 municipalities of the Helsinki region and the state on land use, housing and transport. The aim of the MAL agreement is to coordinate the community structure and transport system in the Helsinki region and to create the conditions for a significant increase in the supply of lots and housing production.
HSY is responsible for the monitoring of the achievement of the objectives of the MAL agreement, and for compiling and coordinating the monitoring materials. The monitoring materials are collected in cooperation with the Helsinki-Uusimaa Regional Council and HSL. The monitoring is overseen by a monitoring meeting of the parties to the agreement and the MAL secretariat responsible for its preparation.
