Julia 2030 project was displayed at the Green Week Conference
HSY and HSL were at Green Week Confrence in Brussels displaying Julia 2030 project in May 2011. Green Week is the largest annual conference on environmental politics in Europe. It was the 11th time the conference was organized by the European Commission. The theme of this year's conference was resource efficiency.
The project was displayed at a fair that was organized together with the conference. The fair had about 60 exhibitors from all over Europe. The guests were interested in green house gas emission calculators produced in Julia 2030 project. The most interesting ones proved to be Chocolate and CO2 calculators in Journey Planner, Jälki the weekday traffic carbon dioxide counter and Climate calculator (www.ilmastolaskuri.fi) that is meant for calculating CO2-emissions of public premises. Great success were also salmiakki sweets provided by HSL that inspired guest to tell about their travels in Finland.
