Geographical information
HSY produces and collates updated and comprehensive registration and map data to support planning, research and policymaking by the municipalities of the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. Thanks to agreements with the producers of materials, HSY is able to supply registration and map materials for the use of municipal employees at no separate charge.
Maps
HSY procures map materials from several producers for use by regional public authorities. These maps cover at least the Helsinki Metropolitan Area, and may even cover the whole of Finland. They are mainly in MapInfo format. HSY publishes regional map materials in the regional SeutuCD compact disk, through the online SePe Regional Basic Register map user interface, and in other ways.
Regional Base Register
The SePe Regional Base Register is a database of registration data for the Helsinki Metropolitan Area that is developed and maintained by HSY and updated from municipal registers every two weeks. The SePe user interface SeutuRuutu can be used for analyses and individual sampling from desired sites and objects in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area.

SeutuCD
SeutuCD is a data package compiled as a cross-section of the SePe Helsinki Metropolitan Area register data, covering buildings, real estate, zoning plans and planning units. It also includes several maps, Helsinki Metropolitan Area population data at building level, and a geographic dataset of establishments produced by Statistics Finland.
