Background
HSY (formerly YTV) continues its work to reduce the amount of wastes in the metropolitan area. The JESSE project on the waste prevention at source until 2010, distributes information on prepared, ready materials and action models. These pages provide a great deal of information and instructions on how to put sustainable consumption into practice.
Read more about the results gained from the WastePrevKit project of the JSE program, which concerns the prevention of waste at source. This work was financially supported by the EU, within the frame of its Life program.
In September 2009, the European Commission selected the waste prevention at source program of YTV as one the best practices. These guidelines support the preparation of the national JSE programs, in other words, the national programs concerning the prevention of waste at source, of the EU member countries.
