HSY is a member of several national and international organisations. Below are some of our partners.

Biolaitosyhdistys ry
Biolaitosyhdistys ry is a Finnish association founded by companies and organisations that operate in the field of biological waste management and soil conditioner manufacturing. It looks after the general and mutual business-related interests of the companies, promotes collaboration between its members and improves the general business prerequisites for the industry.

ISWA, International Solid Waste Association 
ISWA, International Solid Waste Association is an independent non-profit organisation whose aim is to promote and develop sustainable waste management globally. It accepts private individuals and non-profit organisations, institutions of higher education, public bodies and both public and private waste management companies as its members.

FSWA, Finnish Solid Waste Association
The Finnish Solid Waste Association represents municipal waste treatment plants and regional waste management companies. It acts as an interface between its members, develops the waste treatment plant industry and secures the operational prerequisites for public waste management.

IWA, International Water Association
International Water Association is intended for researchers of the water industry, developers of water management technology, water industry operators and those working in the field. The association has more than 10,000 individual members and 400 member companies and organisations in 130 countries.

Länsi-Uudenmaan vesi ja ympäristö ry (Association for Water and Environment of Western  Uusimaa)
Länsi-Uudenmaan vesi ja ympäristöyhdistys is an association that promotes water and environmental protection in its operating area. The association operates mainly in the western Uusimaa region and its immediately connected sea areas. The members of the association include municipalities, incorporated societies practicing industrial operations and other members.

Vantaanjoen ja Helsingin seudun vesiensuojeluyhdistys ry (Water Protection Association of the River Vantaa and Helsinki Region)
Vantaanjoen ja Helsingin seudun vesiensuojeluyhdistys is an association that promotes water protection in its operating area. The operations of the association cover the waters of the rivers Vantaanjoki, Espoonjoki and Mankinjoki, including the shore and sea area located south of them. The operating area is bounded in the east by the border between the City of Vantaa and the Municipality of Sipoo and in the west by the western shore of Espoonlahti bay. The members of the association include municipalities, industrial operators and other members.

Water Association Finland
Water Association Finland aims to increase and promote awareness in the fields of hydrology, limnology, water ecology, fishing industry, water management, hydraulic engineering, water protection, water utilisation and water legislation. The association includes individual and student members as well as member organisations.

FIWA, Finnish Water and Waste Water Works Association
Finnish Water and Waste Water Works Association is a joint organisation for waterworks. It aims to ensure good operational preconditions for its member waterworks, to serve and support the operation of the members as well as to look after the interests and develop the professional skills of its members. The association’s members include municipalities, municipal federations or other organisations that have waterworks or practise waterworks operations. Additionally, FIWA represents Finland in the IWA (International Water Association) together with Water Association Finland.

ICLEI, The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives
The International Council for Local Environmental Initiatives is an organisation for municipalities and local authorities. It aims to prevent and resolve local, regional and global environmental issues and to promote sustainable development. ICLEI’s members include more than 350 cities, municipalities and provinces and their organisations all around the world.

IFHP, International Federation for Housing and Planning
IFHP is a network between cities and municipalities, provinces, the government, states and regional administration authorities, companies, institutes of higher education and non-governmental organisations. It focuses on taking sustainable development into account in city planning and housing design. Its theme is "to create and promote understanding in housing-related questions of the changing world."

METREX, The Network of European Metropolitan Regions and Areas 
METREX is the collaborative network of the European metropolitan regions. The organisation includes ca. 50 European metropolises and regions. The network is intended for experts, politicians and officials who are working in the field of urban planning and development. An essential issue of METREX's operation is how metropolitan regions take their responsibility in decreasing carbon dioxide emissions and fighting climate change.

Finnish Air Pollution Prevention Society
The Finnish Air Pollution Prevention Society is the national environmental protection organisation of its field. Its goals are to promote air protection and air protection research in Finland and to act as an interface between the people and organisations working with air protection in Finland and abroad. The Air Pollution Prevention Society also aims to promote the professional skills of those working in the field of air protection.
