Touring Collection Vehicles

The HSY collection vehicles tour around every spring in Espoo, Kauniainen, Helsinki, Vantaa and Kirkkonummi. The collection vehicles accept hazardous waste, electric and electronic junk, as well as metal scrap.

Collection Vehicles for Hazardous Waste

Hazardous waste generated by the households is received free of charge. Hazardous waste includes, among others, energy saving bulbs, paints, solvents, cleaning chemicals, batteries and pharmaceutical products.

Collection Vehicles for Electric and Electronic Junk

Electric and electronic junk generated by households is received free of charge. The collection vehicles accept 3 items at most per customer or type of device. Electric and electronic junk includes, for example, such items as refrigerators, freezers, TV-sets, coffee makers, washing machines, computers and electric food mixers.

Collection Vehicles for Scrap Metal

Scrap metal, which is generated by households, is received free of charge. Scrap metal includes, for example, bicycles, wood-heated sauna stoves, hot-water boilers, metal containers and tins. Those customers with a trailer may take their loads either to the HSY Sortti stations or directly to some scrap selling business.
